In 1992, members of the oldest American Lipizzan registry, the Lipizzan Association of America, joined with members of the Lipizzan Society of North America to form the Lipizzan Association of North America (LANA). LANA is a North American representative to the Lipizzan International Federation, a world-wide association of Lipizzan owners and breeders. This blog is managed by Dr. Delphi Toth, a LANA Board member.

Let's remember Colonel Hank Reed who as Stivers depicts, actually rode out the Lipizzaner horses, wresting them from Soviet control in Czechoslovakia in 1945 ("Our guns are loaded"). Patton got most of the credit, but Ft. Leavenworth and Ft. Leavenworth foxhunt alumnus Reed did the work. Then and now, your US Army at work.
